Mostly, because of the CHOCOLATE! Yup. Never mind the cards, balloons, flowers, and the fancy dinners. Just give me some chocolate and I am a VERY happy lady! See how easy I am? *winks*
This time of year the stores are overstocked with chocolate in anticipation of this one day. Let me tell you guys…I am in HEAVEN! I am truly like a kid in a candy store. I just cannot get enough!
There are those who dread this day every year. Men and women who see this day as a money pit. When being single just isn’t a good look. Men thinking they are required to take their ladies out for the fancy dinners and giving them flowers and candy to show their love. That may be the case for some, but generally it is not. Yes, the greeting card industry, florist, and chocolatiers make some serious bank this time of year. It’s no different then Halloween or Christmas. Just another holiday to celebrate. I say do it right and do it big!
If you are single, embrace it! No need to feel depressed or inadequate because you haven’t found the relationship you seek. He/She is out there and will make themselves known at the perfect time. That time may not be now. Just have faith that they will and they shall. In the meantime, celebrate the most important relationship that you’ve maintained for your entire life. The relationship with SELF. Woo SELF. Spoil SELF. Love SELF.
My plans? Well, I won’t get into details (when have I ever *wink*). I do plan on dancing tonight. I have a performance in the early evening and then it’s off to…well…do ME. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be a little bolder today then I have been in the past. That can be the making of a very interesting night.
