I woke up to a phone call that provided me with really disturbing news. I have been aimlessly walking around in a daze ever since. I haven’t eaten yet. I feel a serious tension headache coming along. I am unable to concentrate on much at the moment. I’m pretty much numb.
I will not get into the news that I received this morning. It’s way too personal. I’m surprised I’m even posting this…
In Other, Lighter News.
I’ve been seriously considering coloring my hair. Slight dilemma with that. I have natural hair. No chemicals which is AWESOME and I rarely use traditional hair products. Just a dab of coconut oil and I’m good to go. With the coloring of my hair that will change. Yes, I will still have what is considered my natural texture of hair which just happens to be curly. I’m afraid that will change slightly with the introduction to the chemicals in the hair dye. I don’t want that to happen.
The thing that has been steering me more towards getting my hair colored is the fact that I am graying more than I’d like. I’ve always had grey hair. I’m finding more of it nowadays. Inevitable, of course. I still don’t like it. At least the way that the grey has been coming in.
So, I came up with this great idea. Why don’t I just get a bunch of grey highlights? This way it can blend with the natural grey and be a bit more evenly layered. Genius, I know! I think I may even look good with this look. I may not be mistaken for a woman in my 20s anymore but I’m thinking that could be a good thing. I love being in my 30s. I might as well own it, right?
So what do you think? Can I pull off a look like this with my hair as it is now?
As far as the news I received this morning. No worries. Everything will be taken care of as it should be in due time. I’ve come across many battles in my lifetime thus far. This one will be no different. I’ll expect a win, of course. That’s just how I roll.
