I‘ve mentioned it before and I’ll mention it again. I LOVE to read. There is a world of knowledge and adventure within the pages of many books and magazines.
A new (to me) magazine that I like is the Washingtonian.
Wanna know about DC? This seems to be a pretty good source. Sure there is the Washington Post and a few DC based bloggers. I follow them as well. I like this magazine a lot though. Normally I’m not a huge magazine girl but this one has caught my eye on more than one occasion. I may think about getting a subscription in the coming months.

I try to keep my magazine subscriptions to a minimum. This way I have one for each of my interest: DC life, Cooking, and Photography. Excellent!
Books. Oh how I love them so. Real books too. I haven’t quite migrated over to digital media books full time. I own quite a few eBooks and audio books however, I still prefer the real thing. Call me old school if you’d like. I love flipping pages, highlighting text, and doggy earing corners of pages. I love libraries and book stores. Borders and Amazon seriously get most of my money. It’s ridiculous. A good ridiculous though. 🙂
I love book recommendations. A blog friend of mine recommended a book a while back and I was lucky enough to find it in a second hand book store for five bucks. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
I was always fascinated with this story when I heard of the book many years ago. I finally got to see the stage play when it came to The Music Hall in Kansas City. It did not disappoint. I still would love to see it in Chicago. I think it was playing at the Cadillac. I’m due for a Chicago trip anyway. 🙂
Now I’m about to relax with my Washingtonian mag before turning in for the night. I’ll be diving into Wicked throughout next month. Looking forward to that!
