Yesterday marked my first day of my 21 Day Challenge I am putting myself through. The idea of this challenge is compliments of Get Heidi Fit. Basically I need to commit myself to at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day for 21 days straight. No rest days. Shouldn’t be too bad, right?
I’ve been down this road before. Where I’ve taken on a challenge. Several, in fact. I came to an interesting realization. I haven’t missed a single Day One. I was present and accounted for on every one of them. That’s how it starts, right? You’re motivated and ready to go. With me it always dies down. Not cool.
Don’t get me wrong. I AM keeping active. I’m just not consistent with it. A lot of that has to do with my energy levels. They have been really low. At least for the past three months. My diet plays a big part of that. I’m not taking in what’s needed. I’m not taking in much at all, actually. That’s not stopping me from pushing my body to the limit with the activities that I’m doing. I’m still dancing Salsa two times a week. I’m also doing Zumba, Bodyrock, and ZWOW every chance I get. Of course I have no energy!
I really want to see this challenge through. After I’m done I’ll take a day or two to rest and then start it again. Why? Because it’s a good habit to adopt. I’m already doing the activities. I just need to be more consistent with them. I also need to streamline my diet. A work in progress.
So here’s to a successful 21 days! If you’d like, check in on me to see how I’m doing. I’d like that. 🙂
