See that wonderful thing parked in my spot? That, my friends, is my new set of wheels. Beautiful, eh? I found this baby on Craigslist for $25. Chyeah!
It’s former owner is in Mannassas, VA. I just so happened to have someone near there that could pick it up for me. Lucky me. It was finally delivered to me this past Saturday.
I got this bike for many reasons. Trips to and from the Metro station is the main reason. It will be great to ride around the city running various errands as well. Since the demise of my four wheeled vehicle I needed something.
I gave my new bike a test drive earlier today. Whoa! It has been a very long while since I’ve ridden a bicycle. My legs are yelling at me right now. Lol. This tells me that I need to get them in shape more for bike rides. That shouldn’t be an issue. I know that my legs will thank me.
I even found a nifty lock for my bike. It’s a simple cable lock. No worries. I will be upgrading to a U-Lock soon. Those are excellent in the city.
I cannot wait to really get into riding. Who knows. I may even ride with a local group I found on Facebook. A great motivator.
