I couldn’t sleep last night due to loads on my mind. Once I finally do get to sleep, say around 11p I believe, I wake up at 4am with loads more on my mind. I went to bed at 9p.
My brain was doing some serious processing last night. Dozens of ideas coming to light after the sun went down. Ideas for greeting cards and tshirts. Summer plans. Ad placement. Tons of things. It all went into my phone journal (I love technology).
Other non creative things entered my mind as well. The fact that I need more protein powder. I really need to finish reading my book before it’s due back to the library. I smiled for a good minute (much longer) because of a crush I’ve had for over a year.
I believe the crush was my final coherent thought before finally going to dreamland. They weren’t my thought when I woke up at 4a for NO REASON. My thought was “OMG, you’ve got to be kidding me! 4am? Really?”
So what do I do? I take a few quiet moments to myself. Then I proceed to play on my phone. Nice Kionda. I could have gone for a run!
So what keeps you up at night? Do you have a place that you put all of your ideas and thoughts?
