What pattern you may ask? Well it has to do with me getting sick. I’m noticing that I am getting sick around drinking holidays. Two holidays in particular are St Patrick’s Day and Cinco de Mayo.
True, the REAL reasons for these holidays didn’t even originate in the US. St Patrick is from Ireland. His day is also a religious holiday turned feast day….originally celebrated in Ireland. True, the Mexicans won that battle against the French on Mexican soil. That victory just happened to occur on the 5th of May.
And yet here we are drinking obscene amounts of alcohol on both of these days. Well…I haven’t lately because I’ve been getting SICK!
St Patrick’s Day is less than two weeks away. I still have time to recover. To combat this sickness I’m enjoying a bowl of Chicken Egg Noodle Soup as I type. It’s very soothing. I’m also upping my fluid and vitamin C intake. I DO NOT want to be in bed with the sniffles not being able to move because my body aches. No. Not happening, son!
These things happen when you work in a germ factory…err…around children. Lol.
So Operation Get Better Soon is underway. Let’s hope that all is well by the Irish holiday.
Let’s also hope that this doesn’t happen AT ALL for the Mexican holiday.
