Ok. This is my baby.
Lucille is a great car to have. She’s kind of old being a 2000 model. I love her just the same. She’s been having a few problems. The most recent one being that the driver side low beam light went out.
So what does a self sufficient woman who knows her way around a car do? She goes out and buys the needed part so she can change it on her own. I had every intention of doing just that. Time passed. Things came up. After a while going to have someone else do it was very appealing. I went that route but always seemed to miss the technician who could do it.
During my last attempt the technician gave me a little tip. The dialogue went a little like this…
Him: Is it the low beam?
Me: Yeah.
Him: Try tapping the front of it. Sometimes those VWs are funny.
Me: Seriously?
Him: Try it and see what happens.
So I pull up to my residence thinking to myself how funny it would be if this worked. I turn on my lights, go out and bang on the headlight housing, and EUREEKA it comes on!
Seriously? Get the eff outta here! Lol. Well at least I have a spare light for when it DOES blow out.
